Precision Therapeutic Evaluation in Advanced Fibrotic Lung Disease
Patients with advanced fibrotic lung disease often have limited therapeutic options and highly variable disease trajectories. Determining which biological pathways are actively driving disease in an individual patient remains challenging, making personalized therapeutic evaluation difficult.
Biological intelligence as an operational framework for precision medicine.
APPROACH
Stratica coordinated the end-to-end biological intelligence workflow, bringing together healthcare systems, pulmonologists, pathologists, translational researchers, contract research organizations, and technology partners to support a precision therapeutic evaluation program.
The effort included tissue acquisition, pathology review, healthcare system approvals, regulatory and IRB support, biospecimen management, and multimodal spatial profiling. Using complementary spatial transcriptomic and proteomic technologies alongside digital pathology and computational disease modeling, Stratica constructed a patient-specific biological representation of fibrotic lung disease and evaluated disease-associated pathways, cellular ecosystems, and potential therapeutic opportunities.
KEY OUTCOMES
Coordinated clinical, pathology, research, regulatory, and technology stakeholders within a unified precision medicine workflow
Supported tissue access, healthcare system approvals, and translational program activation
Enabled multimodal spatial profiling of patient-derived fibrotic lung tissue
Integrated pathology, molecular, spatial, and clinical data into a unified disease model
Generated patient-specific biological insights supporting therapeutic evaluation
Established infrastructure for future precision medicine and N-of-1 disease intelligence programs
Demonstrated how biological intelligence can support individualized therapeutic decision-making in complex disease
IMPACT
This program illustrates how biological intelligence extends beyond data generation to become an operational framework for precision medicine. By coordinating tissue access, clinical expertise, multimodal profiling, computational modeling, and translational interpretation, Stratica helped transform a complex fibrotic lung disease case into an actionable biological intelligence program capable of informing therapeutic evaluation and future disease modeling efforts.
